Technical Specifications

What Is Ice Age Scrat’S Nutty Adventure!?

This is a 3D action-adventure platformer starring Scrat, the sabre-tooth squirrel from the Ice Age films. The premise is simple and true to the character: a mysterious mechanism inside an ancient Scratazon Temple has locked away his most prized possession, and the only way to recover it is to find four legendary Crystal Nuts scattered across the land. You guide Scrat through a series of themed environments, facing prehistoric creatures, dodging environmental hazards, and returning the missing relics to their rightful home.

The game leans into the physical comedy of the films. Scrat’s movement set is built around acrobatic jumps, slides, and improvised traversal — you will jump from icicle to icicle, ride raging geysers, leap across burning lava, and reach heights that look impossible until you chain the right moves together. It is a platformer designed to be readable for younger players while still offering enough collectible hunting and level variety to hold the attention of older ones.

If you enjoy compact adventure platformers with a strong license attached, this sits comfortably alongside other eShop-style releases such as Nefasto’s Misadventure: Meeting Noeroze Switch NSP (eShop), which follows a similar pick-up-and-play structure.

Key Features

• Scrat as the playable lead: Control the film series’ most chaotic character through a full 3D adventure built around his slapstick acrobatics.
• Crystal Nut quest structure: Four legendary Crystal Nuts drive the campaign, giving you clear goals across distinct regions.
• Classic Ice Age locations: Visit familiar settings from the films, from icy cliffs to volcanic terrain.
• Hazard-driven platforming: Ride geysers, cross lava, and time jumps across icicles and crumbling surfaces.
• Prehistoric creature encounters: Face fierce creatures and survive scripted calamities as you progress.
• Relic recovery objective: Return missing relics to the Scratazon Temple to complete the story.
• Broad language support: Nine languages included — Japanese, English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Russian, and Chinese.
• Update included: The 1.0.1 (v65536) update is bundled with the base NSP so you are not patching manually afterward.

Pros & Cons

Pros

• Faithful to the source material — the humor and character work match the films.
• Approachable controls that suit younger players and casual sessions.
• Varied level themes keep the visual palette from feeling repetitive.
• Includes the update file, saving you a separate download step.
• Wide language coverage out of the box.

Cons

• At 2.4 GB, it is a noticeable chunk of storage for a game of this scope.
• The platforming is built for accessibility, so veteran players may find the challenge curve gentle.
• Collectible-driven design means replay value depends on how much you enjoy hunting down every item.
• Licensed tie-in games carry expectations; this one prioritizes family-friendly fun over depth.

Who This Is For

Ice Age Scrat’S Nutty Adventure! is aimed at families, younger players, and fans of the film franchise who want a low-pressure 3D platformer. It is also a reasonable pick if you are building a Switch library of short, colorful adventure games to rotate through. If you prefer demanding precision platformers or deep combat systems, this title is unlikely to scratch that itch — but as a cheerful, story-driven romp with a recognizable lead, it delivers what it sets out to do.

Version Freshness and Publisher Details

The package you are downloading here reflects the 1.0.1 update, labeled v65536. The original release date for the game is October 18, 2019, and the publisher is Outright Games, a label known for family-oriented licensed titles. The developer field in this listing is Joker2.0. Because the update is bundled, you will not need to hunt down a separate patch file after installing the base NSP.

Version numbers can shift over time as new patches are issued, so treat the 1.0.1 designation as the current state of this listing rather than a permanent guarantee. If a newer update appears, the base game NSP remains the same file — only the update package changes.

Installation Guidance

The download package contains an NSP file, which is the standard installable format for Switch content. You will need a compatible installation tool on your setup to place the file on your console. The base game is 2.4 GB, so confirm you have enough free space before you begin, and keep the update file alongside the base game so both can be applied in one session. If you are new to NSP files, install the base game first, then apply the update — reversing the order can cause the update to fail.
